Heather George, LMFT

Hi! My name is Heather George and I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 18 years. “You may not always control the path, but you can control how you approach the journey.” I have extensive experience working with depression, self-injurious behavior, and the LGBTQ population. I also have experience working with anxiety, trauma, and family issues. I treat adults and adolescents. I also work with couples and families.

 

Life is unpredictable and no matter how one plans, the unexpected will happen at some point. If you always focus on the things you can’t control, you won’t find peace or happiness in life. You’ll constantly desire a life you can’t have, upsetting your well-being and affecting your future.

 

The important thing is to focus on how you handle the journey that you are on. When struggles arise, the opportunity for growth is huge. I would love to join you on your journey so that you can grow and thrive in life. I would describe myself as an eclectic therapist, using a mix of family systems, solution-focused and client-centered therapy.
