Alex Stautzenbach, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT129830)
I believe that a safe, non-judgmental environment in which individuals can experience truly feeling seen, heard, and understood can bring forth the human potential for healing, change, and growth. As your therapist it is my goal to create this environment for you so that we can work together address your treatment goals.
My approach is client-centered, strengths-based and grounded in attachment theory. I practice from a trauma informed lens, antiracist perspective and am LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. I utilize a biopsychosocialspiritual framework to understand individuals from a whole-person perspective and to provide individualized treatment.
My background is in integrated primary care, and I have clinical experience in the outpatient setting working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, stress management issues, trauma, grief/loss, chronic pain/illness, substance use, parenting skills, relationship issues, self-esteem and adjusting to life transitions. Rather than a “one size fits all” approach, I tailor treatment based on the needs and preferences of the client while utilizing evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies.
